Trading and Risk
Forex Quantitative Trading Analyst
FundedRight's internal specialist for trader behaviour and trading data: analysing account activity, investigating complex payout or rule cases, and identifying patterns that affect risk, fairness and product performance. This is not a customer support role and not a discretionary trading position.

What you would do
- Analyse Forex and CFD trading activity across individual accounts and trader groups.
- Review profitability, drawdown, lot size, leverage, exposure, holding time and position concentration.
- Investigate unusual performance or behaviour before complex payout and account decisions.
- Identify patterns that may indicate account sharing, coordinated trading, copy trading abuse or multi account rule avoidance.
- Review activity involving Expert Advisors, automated strategies, news trading, scalping, hedging and arbitrage.
- Distinguish legitimate profitable trading from behaviour that conflicts with published rules or exploits a technical weakness.
- Check whether suspected issues can be explained by market conditions, platform behaviour, data quality or execution differences.
- Build repeatable Python or SQL analysis that reduces manual account review.
- Create monitoring reports for trader profitability, payout ratios, exposure and recurring risk patterns.
- Assess the likely effect of proposed drawdown, leverage, payout and account rules before launch.
- Work with the platform provider when order, price or execution data needs technical investigation.
- Write clear case notes that can be understood by non technical decision makers and support staff.
What we are looking for
- Practical understanding of Forex and CFD trading supported by analytical work, not only personal trading experience.
- Strong Python skills for data preparation, analysis and repeatable monitoring.
- Strong SQL skills for querying large trading datasets.
- Advanced Excel skills for rapid investigation and reconciliation.
- Experience with data visualisation in Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool.
- Understanding of statistical analysis, distributions, outliers and time series data.
- Knowledge of drawdown calculation, leverage, margin, spreads, slippage, swaps, market sessions and economic events.
- A degree or equivalent experience in mathematics, statistics, quantitative finance, economics, computer science, engineering or another analytical field.
- Sound judgement and willingness to test alternative explanations before reaching a conclusion.
- The ability to work independently and document methods so another analyst can reproduce the result.
- Experience in a prop firm, broker, market surveillance, dealing, risk or trading analytics environment is strongly preferred.
What will help you stand out
- A portfolio showing Python or SQL analysis of trade, order book or time series data.
- Experience analysing MT5, Match-Trader or comparable order and account data.
- Experience detecting copy trading, arbitrage, platform abuse or coordinated account behaviour.
- Knowledge of broker execution, liquidity, spreads and slippage.
- Experience turning one off investigations into automated monitoring rules.
How the process works
- 1Application and CV review, including links to relevant analytical work where available.
- 2Thirty minute screening call covering Forex knowledge, location and experience.
- 3Sixty to ninety minute practical exercise using an anonymised or fictional trade dataset.
- 4Technical interview covering the analysis, alternative explanations and proposed monitoring approach.
- 5Final interview with the founder, followed by an offer and reference checks where required.
